Island Life

Loving the cool calm turquoise and aqua comb with that pop of orange. Is that coral draped like a garland? Love it! It reminds me of a little spanish hotel I stayed in years ago with a girlfriend in the little town of Alicante on the Spanish coast. This palette the moorish inspired tile, sea shells and the stylish coastal vibe ahhh it takes me back. We planned to stay a day or two and spent the week! I was so inspired by the spanish aesthetic they love pattern and bold colour and aren't afraid to use it. Would love to head back there but this time with husband and baby in tow.

ANTIMINIMALIST: VERONICA BEARD

Wow... when we came across Veronica Swanson Beard's apartment featured in Harpers Bazaar recently we thought so IvP! Interior design by family friend Thomas Britt and we are absolutely in love with the interiors but the true standout was that kitchen!!!!! How divine it had us completely swooning. Such an elegant colourful and bold interior fitting for a hip young designer and her family. Thanks to Cassandra from Coco and Kelley for the heads up. Sorry we have been a little quiet we took a little time out after our birthday celebrations. Thanks so much for the support in the last issue.

Lovely Lacework

image via gild and grace
Love Love Love this room. How fresh and simple with a little edge. We are loving the pattern on pattern cushions (even spotting an IvP lacework cushion second from the left) and of course we are suckers for a little animal print in every room. How was your weekend? We were working on our first birthday issue.... almost done we have some lovely things for you so stay tuned!

THE COOLEST THING I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME...

images via fastcodesign.com
How inventive is this totally cool pop-up Indian restaurant! Dishoom Chowpatty Beach is in London's Southbank and is a stunning example of what a little upcycling can do... Check out the walls made from rolled newspapers and the railway sleeper seating. Not to mention the jam jar lights and drop dead gorgeous vintage bentwoods repainted in all of their fabulousness! The restaurant wanted to celebrate all that Chowpatty Beach in Bombay represents. Colour, fun, nostalgia and good times. I want to go for a Pim's and a curry here don't you?

CUTE AS BUTTON

Thanks to Will at Bright Bazaar for his gorgeous post on Josie Curran's houseboat. How divine and loving the colour, colour, colour! I think our favourite is the cluster wall with the cute antique cot (just like Penelope's)... then again that dining room is gorgeous and the lounge and the bedroom... oh so inspiring! Don't you just want to take a trip down the Thames in this little number?xx Happy Sunday
