Can you believe it is Wednesday already! Where does the week go???? We are busy busy busy putting our finishing touches on the next issue of Ivy and Piper so tonight just a quick image we spotted over at The Decorista. Loving the brass beauty stand, the tiles, the cluster wall who wouldn't want to powder their nose in this tres chic powder room.

MANUEL CANOVAS...STUNNING!!!

One of our all time favourite designers is of course the very talented Manuel Canovas! I have had the privilege of meeting the man himself at a design function in London a couple of years ago and my oh my was I star struck. We chatted for a while about the industry all the while I was trying to stay cool, fiddling with my pearls and stumbling over my limited French! Mr Canovas sold the company some time ago but I must say the latest collection out in Australia about a month ago is very gorgeous and very Canovas... Full of beautiful embroidery, colours and patterns each page is blooming with inspiration. Can't get enough.

OPENING A DOOR ON COLOUR...

We were chatting today about how huge colour is at the moment and it doesn't look like going away anytime soon either! It's funny because Elizabeth and I were always sneaking wild colours into our projects at design college a splash of yellow here a pink chair there etc etc... We love colour and try to encourage all of our family, friends and Ivy and Piper customers to embrace it to let loose and colour their worlds a little but are you brave enough???? One of my favourite ways to bring a little unexpected pop of colour into a clients home is to paint their front doors inside and out in a glossy bright shade. Nothing says hello like a beautiful bright front door...

WHAT A TURN OUT!

Phew... what a fun day we had on Saturday! We loved loading all of our remaining stock into the excited arms of some lovely customers!!! Imagine the look on our faces when there were actually people waiting at the door for us right on 10am. Thank you to all of the lovely IvP followers for braving the cold to scoop up their very own Ivy and Piper piece. One couple re-fitted their entire lounge room even the little ones were involved! We have now made way for our brand new look with the first installations happening this week. eeeeek oh how we love to decorate!

FAB ARTIST: CLAUDIA DAMICHI

We have been on the look out for some gorgeous new art work for our showroom re-model and came across these original artworks from fab artist Claudia Damichi! Stunning!!! I must say I am in love with this last one, pattern, colour and the gorgeous chair it ticks all the IvP boxes! Claudia has an upcoming exhibition at one of our local galleries here in Brisbane.
