OPENING A DOOR ON COLOUR...

We were chatting today about how huge colour is at the moment and it doesn't look like going away anytime soon either! It's funny because Elizabeth and I were always sneaking wild colours into our projects at design college a splash of yellow here a pink chair there etc etc... We love colour and try to encourage all of our family, friends and Ivy and Piper customers to embrace it to let loose and colour their worlds a little but are you brave enough???? One of my favourite ways to bring a little unexpected pop of colour into a clients home is to paint their front doors inside and out in a glossy bright shade. Nothing says hello like a beautiful bright front door...

  1. I love coloured doors but don't think it would suit ours - it has a stained glass window with a kookaburra - very Australiana (not our choice).

  2. Ha ha, Thea isn't it funny the things you inherit when you buy a house? Maybe one day you could swap it over or maybe there is a colour solution!

  3. I love color as well! So many ways to bring great pops of color into the home for the shy! Painting a front door a bright color is a great idea and what a great entrance! :))
