Organise Me!

We are getting organised over at the showroom with last minute touches but along with the pretty comes the mundane. We are trying to find the fun in organising our paperwork and this pretty image struck a chord! Loving the clip board concept a gorgeous alternative to the pin board which allows you to visualise all your projects at once. We could apply this concept to everything we do from client work to the magazine and workshops! For now though we are enjoying Friday as Monday brings... more filing.

Happy Weekend

Don't Mind If I Do!

image 2 Ivy and Piper ,image 5 & 6 via pagoda press, all others via styleredux

Fancy a tipple? There is something just so chic about the old bar cart. We loved spying the bright and beautiful bar cart we featured in Ivy and Piper Magazine earlier this year over at Pagoda Press last week. It belongs to none other than Janie Schoeborn creative director for Lilly Pulitzer. You can use the bar cart concept and interpret in your own unique way, we have and are working on a cute coffee cart concept for the showroom at the moment.

Don't you think details make all the difference? It is all well and good to use colour or pattern to make a statement but giving a little extra thought to the details can give you a much more layered and interesting look. These are some images from our window covering files which always provide endless inspiration for client projects. So many different looks and so many different ways. I hope some happy curtain inspiration brightens your day. Happy Monday!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

image: photographer Sarah Maren via style me pretty

Is it just me or was everyone out mowing their lawns today? How lovely to have spring back in our lives! Birds chirping, sun shining, blooms blossoming whats not to love about spring. I am feeling inspired to pack up my picnic basket this weekend and take a family trip! I love the idea of making your simple picnic a little more luxurious. So I always pack a huge bright floral picnic rug and pretty patterned cushions in the car. Just what you need for hours of reclining and reading under the sunny sky! Perhaps I will pick a little posie like in the image above to add to our picnic table this weekend.

THE COOLEST THING I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME...

images via fastcodesign.com

How inventive is this totally cool pop-up Indian restaurant! Dishoom Chowpatty Beach is in London's Southbank and is a stunning example of what a little upcycling can do... Check out the walls made from rolled newspapers and the railway sleeper seating. Not to mention the jam jar lights and drop dead gorgeous vintage bentwoods repainted in all of their fabulousness! The restaurant wanted to celebrate all that Chowpatty Beach in Bombay represents. Colour, fun, nostalgia and good times. I want to go for a Pim's and a curry here don't you?
