Have you read yours yet?

EXCITING NEWS AND SCOTT ST. SOIREE

Well I finally have my business buddy back on board this week and it is so lovely to have her back!!!  She had a magical trip and I am so excited to congratulate both her and her darling beau Grant on their ENGAGEMENT!!!  The story is too romantic and let me tell you he is a keeper!!!  We are thrilled for you both and wish you all the happiness in the world.  

So of course this week has been filled with constant chatter between us in the studio of wedding this and wedding that etc etc etc.  The chatter didn't stop either when we popped into the Scott St. Soiree on Tuesday night this week.  We featured two of the apartments at Brisbane's most prestigious addresses last year in the Ivy and Piper magazine and were thrilled to see the end result of a stylish collaboration between Brisbanes' Paul Hunt and Unique France.  On the backdrop of twinkling Brisbane city lights the apartment came to life!  

We are always happy to recognise the achievements of another creative and this is most certainly one.  Paul said he loved the opportunity to appease the frustrated decorator in him and loved using the amazing antique furniture from Unique France and the result was outstanding.  The wardrobes came complete with Paul Hunt Couture and such a glamourous crowd as well (even in the compulsory slippers!)  We nearly died when we were told no heels to keep the floors in pristine condition as the apartment is for sale! But did our best at looking chic in slippers anyway... No photographic evidence though!!  Congratulations to Paul Hunt and Unique France a beautiful result and another example of the link between fashion and interiors.

So we all know Ivy and Piper love pink but how can you not love pink in these rooms! All gorgeous in their own ways need we say more? Hope your weekend was wonderful we shot the most gorgeous Brisbane home for the magazine on the weekend and loved styling and playing and moving the furniture around to our hearts content! Thanks so much to Paul and Louisa for letting us shoot we can't wait to show you the full article... eeeek it's always so exciting seeing a new issue go live. And this one seems extra special as we are celebrating our 1st Birthday! Yes it's been one whole year since we launched the Ivy & Piper publication and we've had a ball every step of the way. This issue, as we celebrate everything that IS Ivy & Piper, we have so many gorgeous features it's difficult to highlight our favourites - but our cover story, Liz Caan's amazing home, is definitely a standout, as is Kimberly Ayres'!

Fancy a tipple? There is something just so chic about the old bar cart. We loved spying the bright and beautiful bar cart we featured in Ivy and Piper Magazine earlier this year over at Pagoda Press last week. It belongs to none other than Janie Schoeborn creative director for Lilly Pulitzer. You can use the bar cart concept and interpret in your own unique way, we have and are working on a cute coffee cart concept for the showroom at the moment.

Mag Review: Jonathan Adler

Did you catch our designer Bio in this issue???? We love Jonathan Adler and his amazing products and interiors. But above all we love his style the way he confidently combines colours and pattern. A master at his craft but with such a sense of humour! We had to post his manifesto found on his website. Don't you think we should all have a personal manifesto just like this? Love it... so true. We love how Mr Adler tries not to take himself too seriously after all designing is fun!
