We have seen this pic in the past but earlier this week we trawling through some new (new to us) blogs for some sunny inspiration and found a new favourite blog Sunny Peaches along with this gorgeous pic. We love this Brunschwig and Fils fabric so vibrant and versatile. Many would use it with a bright candy coloured wall or white with a touch of timber or gold which would be gorgeous but we love it set on the dark green backdrop it takes the pretty fabric in a new sophisticated direction without losing all the fun! Don't you think?
Happy Friday, we hope you have a flower filled weekend ahead!
Ok so we do love our pink and orange but when you look at the pics above who wouldn't! It really packs a punch and we love how you can use the combo in so many ways: girly and soft, bold and bright, traditional with a touch of gold or modern and sleek! Any way you use it its an Ivy and Piper favourite.
In our defence... Do you sometimes you find so many gorgeous pics all at once that you must save them there and then as a matter of urgency???? We do and unfortunately these are all from very old files that are full of pics with no references collected on one of these inspiring blogging/pinterest-ing/tumbler-ing type days. Our sincere apologies for the lack of info please email us and let us know if you know to whom these belong! We hope your week is going swimmingly!
Country living... A few pics from around the house this last week or so to welcome winters chill! We had a lovely weekend entertaining family and it was so relaxing. I have been picking arm loads of gold chrysanthemums and pink dahlias and they just keep blooming along with that gorgeous purple flower. I have no idea what it is but it picks well and looks great in big bunches around the house. It has cooled off so much and the leaves around the place are starting to fall don't you just love this time of year! So cool and clear the perfect weather for gorgeous jackets beautiful boots and even the odd scarf. I had to break out the pink hoodie for Penny whilst we were in the garden to keep those little ears warm! You may have seen it over at Lady Chatterly's Affair but this was a cluster wall we have just hung for a gorgeous Toowoomba client last week literally using everything she had spare and even then we raided the china cabinet! Doesn't it look sweet, Elizabeth and I are were thrilled with the result! We think some wallpaper would be extra amazing behind the buffet and of course we have an Ivy and Piper Tole Chandelier going in with custom shades so we will be sure to keep you updated!
Well I finally have my business buddy back on board this week and it is so lovely to have her back!!! She had a magical trip and I am so excited to congratulate both her and her darling beau Grant on their ENGAGEMENT!!! The story is too romantic and let me tell you he is a keeper!!! We are thrilled for you both and wish you all the happiness in the world.
So of course this week has been filled with constant chatter between us in the studio of wedding this and wedding that etc etc etc. The chatter didn't stop either when we popped into the Scott St. Soiree on Tuesday night this week. We featured two of the apartments at Brisbane's most prestigious addresses last year in the Ivy and Piper magazine and were thrilled to see the end result of a stylish collaboration between Brisbanes' Paul Hunt and Unique France. On the backdrop of twinkling Brisbane city lights the apartment came to life!
We are always happy to recognise the achievements of another creative and this is most certainly one. Paul said he loved the opportunity to appease the frustrated decorator in him and loved using the amazing antique furniture from Unique France and the result was outstanding. The wardrobes came complete with Paul Hunt Couture and such a glamourous crowd as well (even in the compulsory slippers!) We nearly died when we were told no heels to keep the floors in pristine condition as the apartment is for sale! But did our best at looking chic in slippers anyway... No photographic evidence though!! Congratulations to Paul Hunt and Unique France a beautiful result and another example of the link between fashion and interiors.
Hi All, we hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day Weekend! We just thought we would share some of the inspiration behind our 'Ivy and Piper Looking Glass Fabric'. As you know we love lattice/ fretwork whatever you call it and in all shapes and sizes. Each pic has its own look and we love that! Which one is your favourite????
Just a couple of images from the files.... I am always thinking ahead when it comes to the long list of decorating we have to do in our new home. (sigh) Decisions decisions. Hope you have had a lovely week!
